| Inspection / Returns |
| Before cutting or third party processing it is
essential that the fabric is inspected in every aspect. If fabric is being delivered
to a third party we recommend that you forward a sample of fabric to the third party
before ordering. No claims will be accepted after the fabric has been cut.
Returned goods will only be accepted after prior arrangement. Returns due to
customer error will be subject to a handling charge, plus carriage. |
|
|
| Samples / Cuttings |
| We do not supply returnable
appro samples. We do
supply cuttings approx. 20 x 25cms free of charge but for 6 or more a charge will be made. |
|
|
| Shade Variation |
| Printing and dying variations, however slight, are
inevitable between batches, especially with plain colours. It is essential to obtain
a stock cutting if an exact match is required. |
|
|
| Fire Proofing |
| A Fire Proofing service is available for any of our
fabrics to comply with BS5867 part 2 Type B for curtaining of back coated
to BS5852 Part 1
Ignition Source 0+1 for recovering or loose covers. A shrinkage of 5% could occur in
fire proofing. |
|
|
| Movements of Curtains in Situ |
| Atmospheric conditions vary and are not under our
control. We cannot therefore accept responsibility for movement of curtains when
hung. The possibility of movement due to change in humidity should be made clear to
the ultimate customer, and that the control of humidity in the room is their
responsibility. We recommend a good hem allowance is made in case of the necessity
for alterations, the cost of which remains the customers. |

|
| Cleaning / Shrinkage |
All fabrics are liable to shrinkage and must be
cleaned in accordance with the cleaning instructions on this Web site. Dry Cleaning
must be undertaken by Dry Cleaning Specialists. To keep shrinkage to a minimum Dry
Cleaning is recommended but up to 5% is possible and allowance must be made.
N.B. Fabric with F.R. back coating
should be Dry Cleaned with the P process but caution
should be taken as frequent use of the solvent perchloroethylene can adversely affect the
F.R. properties. For detailed information regarding the cleaning and care of
fabrics, please see either the pattern books or the fabric price list. Please note
that an allowance of at least 5% should be allowed for shrinkage with all fabrics when
making up loose covers, curtains, etc. |

|
| Velour's |
| We strongly advise velour's to be made with the pile
direction down. (please supply your cuts to help us avoid faults). Pile
pressure marks will always occur after packing and transportation but these marks should
drop out after a period of hanging. Steaming or brushing will help to reduce this
problem. |

| Stain Removal |
| Spillage and accidents are unavoidable, but remember
that the most important element in successful stain removal is the action that you take
when the staining first occurs. The longer the stain is left the more it becomes
bonded into the fabric. |
