Descriptions & General Uses

Decorative Trimmings
Brush Fringe Jacquard / Woven Braids
Often referred to as Ruche or Cut, this fringe has the appearance of a soft brush edge.  Available in a variety of thickness it can be used to accent upholstery, soft furnishings and accessories. These beautifully detailed trimmings feature designs which are pure 'tapestry' in appearance.  They are highly versatile as borders for walls, curtains, bed linen etc.
Loop Fringe Cord
Instead of a straight cut edge, the fibres / yarns of this fringe are looped and woven to the top edge.  Normally available with straight or shaped fan edge.  Suitable for upholstery and accessories. Traditionally an upholstery trimming, cords can be used to provide a distinctive edge to soft furnishings, particularly curtains and popular swagged valances.  The flanged option is ideal for finishing of hard edges, e.g. pelmets.
Tassel Fringe Curtain Pull Cord
A fringe complemented with hanging plumes of fibres / yarns in matching or contrasting colours.  A very distinctive trimming, tassel fringes add richness to furnishings which are of a traditional period. A single plume on a co-ordinating cord with a clip attachment at one end.  Used on the leading curtain runner of a track / pole to operate opening / closing function.  Can also be used as a light pull.
Bullion Fringe Tasselled Tie-Back
A substantial fringe, this trimming is identified by it's deep rope like strands.  Heavy and traditional it is the ideal application for larger furniture and furnishing pieces. Single or double plumes attached to a looped cord and used to dress and secure curtains off the window.
Plaited Fringe Tie-Bands
Originally used to tie-off rugs, this is a trimming suitable for all types of furnishings whether contemporary, modern or traditional.  Generally made from cotton and with a natural finish. A 'no tassel' alternative to the tie-back.   Comprises a wide woven band with brass or yarn covered ferrules securing each end.
Ball / Bobble Fringe Key Tassel
A fringe accentuated with decorative pompons, this trimming is a suitable compliment to bedroom and bathroom furnishings, e.g. bed throwovers and window blinds. Small plume attached to a thin looped cord.   Use to add a touch of elegance to cabinet furniture keys.
Gimp Braid Magnetic Tassel
This is a fine, narrow trimming made from yarns tightly woven into a braiding.  Widely used a border on upholstery and furnishing accessories such as pelmets and lamp shades. A no-sew, no glue furnishing tassel which applies instantly by integral magnet.  Ideal for decorating roller blinds, valances and pelmets.
Rosette / Tassel Chair Ties
This is a combination decorative button with a miniature tassel.  Normally used to accent upholstery and cushions. A length of decorative cord with a small tassel secured at each end.  Sew to small / scatter cushions and tie in position to hard seat dining and occasional chairs.
