| 1 Dampen Wood Care cloth and keep nearby. |

| 2 Using the wire brush vigorously clean the pole etc., in
the direction of the grain. This process is necessary to open-up and clean the grain - you
should finish with grooves and valleys appearing on the pole etc. |
| 3 Clean off, remove any dust etc. |
| 4 Using the Wood Care brush apply a coat of Liming Paste
using stokes in the direction of the grain. |
| 5 Whilst the Liming Paste is still wet, wipe off any excess
substance with the Wood Care cloth going across and around the grain. This will highlight
the surface grain whilst leaving deposits in the grooves and valleys of the pole. |
| 6 Allow to dry for approximately 2 hours |
| 7 Lightly sand the pole etc., across the grain using the
Sanding Pad. This will highlight the surface grains and contrast with the deeper
grain accentuated by the liming Paste. |
| 8 Clean off, remove any dust etc. |
| 9 Apply one of two coats of Polyurethane varnish. |
